Arts and Culture
The Jewish Center has an extensive adult library. We sponsor Jewish music and theater events. The synagogue foyer and the adult library host various art exhibits; recent examples are art from Israel, an exhibit of photographs of earlier generations of congregant families, tallitot made by Jewish Center women, Jewish calligraphy and paper art, lithographs of Jewish Life and architectural designs for newly built synagogues. From time to time, classes are offered in Judaic arts, such as making ceramic menorahs or tallitot. The Board's Arts and Cultural Affairs committee evaluates permanent art for the synagogue, including ritual objects.
