Programming at TJC
The Programming Group of The Jewish Center—which is comprised of the Adult Education Committee, the Israel Affairs Committee, the Arts and Culture Committee, the Youth and Family Committee, the Social Concerns Committee, Jewish Center Women, the Men’s Club, Membership and the Director of Programming meets regularly to discuss and review programs submitted for our extensive Adult Programming at The Jewish Center.
The Programming Group is committed to offering TJC members and those from the local community the very best in adult Jewish learning opportunities. Our goal is to achieve a diverse, balanced and top-quality range of programs that include classes, lectures, films, cultural events, mini-series and discussions.
To help us achieve this goal, the Programming Group is requiring all individuals, organizations, and groups who are requesting calendar slots for programs to complete a Programming Proposal Form for each program. The completed proposal form should be submitted to one of the above committees or to a member of TJC professional staff.
Blank Programming Proposal forms have been made available to all of the above co-chairs, vice presidents and staff. Forms are also available on line or by e-mailing me at marthafriedman1@aol.com.
At our programming meetings, the proposals will be discussed, with opportunities explored to have one or more committees partner where appropriate. Please take a look at our extensive Adult Education selection of classes, courses and special programs
The Programming Group will meet regularly throughout the year to review new proposals and evaluate programs that have occurred. The meeting schedule and deadline for submission of programs will be published and publicized. The programs for the Fall-Winter semester have already been submitted. Programs for the Winter-Spring semester are currently being accepted.
Program proposals are welcome at any time.
Please contact me at the above email with any questions.
Thank you for your interest in providing our congregation and the local community with the very best in adult Jewish learning activities.
Martha Friedman
