Our annual potluck last month was great! One of our members graciously offered her lovely home--we shared a delicious meal and then watched the Israeli film "Tel Aviv Stories."
Hard to believe that summer's over--it seemed very fast this year. At our August meeting some of the group really liked the book, but several agreed that it might have been better as a short story. Definitely interesting.
This month's book explores Jewish life in India. We'll meet September 22, to discuss Sophie Judah's Dropped from Heaven , at 7:30 pm in the Bet Midrash.
We don't have confirmed dates for October and November, but we've decided to read and discuss the following books:
In October: The Volunteer: A Canadian's Secret Life in the Mossad Michael Ross
And, in November: A Shout in the Sunshine by Mara W. Cohen Ioannides (daughter of Brenda Cohen, a member of our book group)
All of our books can be ordered on-line through our Amazon link to earn a commission for the Synagogue. Multiple copies of our selections are usually available at Border’s Bookstore and Princeton Public Library on the “Book Club” table on the ground floor.
